My Red-Star "Peaches" has been laying since August and I have gotten two eggs just like that, one last week and one this week the first one was really good. I haven't cracked the second one yet

This is great, I found a giant egg like that today, jumped on the forum to find out what it was and sure enough you had the same experience I did. Mine came from my Red Star too, she has been laying for two weeks straight and today we got the big one.

Holy moley that's a big egg! My Gold Comets will do this once in a while too. I tell them they're overacheivers, but they keep plugging away.

Well I said I would post what came from that egg and here it is! It's a double yolk like we expected. So far, our Red Star still has only ever missed 1 day laying eggs... she continues to amaze us everyday with her extra large eggs.
