Oh my gosh!!!! I'm soooo jealous right now! HAHAHA

We locked down last night. I haven't stopped looking at them. I'm dying to see SOMETHING (anything) happen.
When I candled, I saw REAL movement in almost all of them! As I was saying to the kids, regarding egg #10, "Oh geez, I think this one died, it looks so much smaller..........................Holy Moly! It's MOVING!" as something moved in front of the light! Seriously, probably the most exciting moments since I saw the first sign of life in them!

My concern at this point is my humidity. It's holding at 50%. I have no idea how to get it any higher. The chambers are all full. I have soaked papertowels under the mesh. I have no idea what else I can do. Any suggestions would be very appreciated!

Wet sponges? I put a washcloth in my bator. Increase the moist surface area and you will increase humidity. Good luck, I'm

How exciting!!!!! Didn't you say you thought they were delayed a little?

Silly question: I could put a washcloth in but I use fabric softner and I was afraid of killing them with lavendar vanilla.....Am I safe to open the bator and slip one in right now?

The washcloth worked great for me, went from 55-75 humidity. could boil it for a minute if you were worried to sanitize it.
I did think things would be delayed based on candling.

I am starting to get worried about the one that pipped. a piece about the size of a thumb tack has broken off, and I can see the membrane is still in tact. Is this going to hinder the respiration? everything I read here says leave it alone.

Hhhmm, I'm not sure that it would be harmful? But I really don't know.... Maybe start a new thread and pose that question? Seems like someone has actually tried it and could give you advice?
