Has her pupil always been that way?

I have never really noticed it either. It has only been lately that they will come by me when I go in the run. I think they are starting to like me more now that I have been giving them treats from the garden. I'm going to start going out and sitting with them some more.

I have to quibble with the title. Sellers of sexed birds are not lying when "oops" males appear. Vent sexing is never more than about 90% accurate and can be less for some breeds.

Additionally, I have seen in my local, independent farm store the chicks jumping up onto the edge of their bins and jumping down into another bin -- mixing themselves without aid or either careless customers or careless employees.
