I just remembered something. Did you know that the original coffee crew was condemned for too many “good morning” posts?
That’s why I began putting all the coffees in one post.

She has an incubator but the silly girl fills it with coffee, not eggs.

HEY! That was my idea, and a good one, at that. Put a flex straw through a vent hole, set the incubator next to the bed, & have at it.

I have a now unused LG and a DIY coolerbator. I am thinking of making a hatcher but I've spent too much money on chook stuff recently.

Why does everyone want a separate hatcher?

Multiple reasons. I can run staggered hatches that way, and get multiple matings done at the same time frame so I can compare offspring. The incubator stays more sanitary, and if I have it as still air I don't have to worry about blocking off the fan so the hatchlings don't remove their faces.

I gotta go to bed. I'm going to fall over if I spend another minute on here, and I have to get up early and figure out how to give a pill to a duck. Ugh.

When we give pills to the critters, we use a mortar- pestle, and then just a little bit of water in oral drench it.

You were just hollering 'cause you were up to 50 birds, now you want staggered hatches so's you can get even more to feed! More coops, more runs, more maintenance. Sure, why not! Makes perfect sense. You can't sell eggs or birds as it is!
