spoil them good when little or they are hard to get friendly more like NOT SO SCARED!

Did you know I have the bator, I just don't have the home yet? Hopefully by next spring we will be in a place of our own.
Did you know that once you get more stuff in place, let me know and i'll ear mark my first batch of shipping duck eggs for you! (I plan on eating them, too.)

Did you know I told my husband I wanted to buy the 6 acres behind our house. He didn't say no. But we have to talk to the people who own the 66 acres that touches ours. I figured 10 acres was enough for a small farm, PLUS, we can afford to buy 6 acres from them to complete our acreage, and since it's a small amount, maybe they'll consider it. Xing fingers!

They felt safe with me when I went out there, but when I leave, they get scared. So apparently, they do feel safe enough to trust me.

i'm flattered!

Did you know a duck can make you feel flattered?

I notice when people go quiet, but I never want to bug people and ask why. I try to remember people have lives and things besides posting on forums to do! LOL
are you sure about that LOL

hmmm interesting... Did you know I have to go to the sleep study place for consultation, seems the anesthesiologist found out I have sleep apnea fairly bad and this was the second time I had her for surgeries in two months so she made them take note and tell my PA I need tested. I know I am exhausted tired but I thought anemia was the main issue, seems it could be a combo of meds and a bunch of other stuff. Did you know that I take 23 pills a day right now? Did you know one is for my gut because the meds are eating through it? did you know I despise meds? and being sick in general. Did u know that I just wrote more on here than I ever have about my health and I dont know why? Did you know I shouldnt drink but I am going to make a titos and tonic right now? brb

I shouldn't drink either, since I have a bad liver. And it's my one vice my husband doesn't really like, since he's a non-drinker.

Did you know that I actually made myself a vow that I'd give up vodka for the next few months, just to make him happy?
lol, and the fact that you are trying for another baby maybe

The crate is open. They refuse to come out. They came and poked their head out when I went out there to check on them, but wouldn't come play in the water. They went from a brooder, to the wild outdoors. I think it traumatized them slightly.

Did you know ducks are big fraidy cats?
yep

Did you know my son's doing a math test on the computer, and he keeps yelling at it when it tells him it got the answer wrong....
Quote: lol what do you use to home school? what company or whatever you use

and that sounds like a plan!!!

Me????? When I'm Mia I'm usually hiding for a bit but I come out when I'm ready!!! Lol

You, Sally, everyone.....

I did not know that, did you know I have no idea why an animal would want to stay in a crate?

Ditto, but DYK my dog loves to be in her crate? She sits in it all the time & races to it as fast as she can when I tell her "time for crate."

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!! Did you know I just want a couple acres with a manufactured hom just so I can keep a few animals and have a small garden. Can't get anything to big because I have to be able to take care of it.

I use spectrum work books, and a bunch of other materials, but for testing, I like mobymax since it does state guidelines and it's got a lot of resources available content wise, that other teachers have created and posted. I suck when it comes to creating my own stuff... I just want to give the kids their assignments, and move on.

It's why my youngest probably hasn't learned how to read quite yet. She knows all her letters, numbers, but I'm better at teaching her simple math, than reading. Her dad's trying to teach her to read, but he doesn't always have time. I'll be paying for a tutor to cover her reading issues after christmas if she's not getting close to a first grade level.

Part of it, is she also doesn't WANT to read quite yet, she actually was telling me last night that she was reading the shampoo bottles in the shower and telling me which ones where which between shampoo and conditioner... so I know she's got some of it in her brain... but she is really good at math and she's impatient and gets frustrated, and learning to read is hard. lol

Did you know that I justify her not reading above her grade level like all her other homeschool friends are, as them just being over achievers and I'm letting her be a kid and go at her own pace????
