Did you know..... Chat Thread! W/ Hosts: DwayneNLiz, kwhites634, BantyChooks, MotorcycleChick, C

I've had 5 total. 4 living. One died at 3 weeks old. I had twins, and it's a long story but 1 died  I have 2 of each gender living. I'm 31. I've been married over 10 years. I had my first at 18 after being told i'd never have kids. took me almost 7 years to have my 2nd, 2 1/2years for my twins, and got lucky and had my 2nd girl before my surviving twins 2nd birthday.  What makes her so cool is my husband delivered her, we didn't make it to the hospital! (I had a homebirth with my first daughter, too.)

Did you know, I'd love a few more, via old fashioned method, or adoption! I've always felt compelled to adopt, I just needed to get to the right place in my life. My chickens fulfil those .. mothering urges in me!

Did you know that I will send you prayers and good thought for whatever you decide? Some women are just made for the larger families. Did you know... It's always been a struggle for me to raise mine but for some reason everything is working out okay.... Did you know I miscarried my first at 4 months which can't even compare to losing a child and that was painful enough...

i can imagine how hard that was. The first time I held my son that died, was on mothers day. After he died. (yep, he died on mother's day. we don't celebrate it anymore, instead we do family's day.)

I... know big families aren't a thing anymore, but honestly, it's all I ever wanted.

Did you know, that with the lack of children being born to families, old people can't be supported by SS anymore?

Apparently. Most of the people in our family either have ZERO kids, or 3-6. One of my great aunts though had 13. LOL

Did you know that society says if we continue to not have kids, we won't be able to care for old people?

The birds were right beside each other under the (standing) rabbit hutch when I found them, dead as doornails. I think they were taking shelter from the rain. 99.999% sure it was lightening because the extension cord was on the ground beside them, and the bulb from it was connected to had busted and shattered all in my coop with my chicks. Ironically, every single chick was fine but my two big boys were not.

I want pekins. And welsh harlequins and the ones that lay like 300 eggs a year. Whatever those ones are.

Did you know, that I want to get my daughter those fluffy feathery geese... metzer farms charges like 75 a bird for a pair of them... I don't think I can justify more than a pair next spring when they become available though  and they make you order 10 birds.... so... i need to order 8 more. LOLL I'm not sure hubby's okay with 10 geese.

OMG
Did you know how loud one goose is, yet alone ten??????
