Did you know I haven't been up long enough to wrap my head around that one?

You have a 7 hour head start on me!

Did you know that I agree, too early to think that one through.

Did you know that I had a terrible dream last night about a gigantic cockroach that was in my bedroom.  It was the flying kind and all of you were there, only it wasn't your faces on your bodies, it was you "avi" pics on your bodies?  It was rather disturbing.  Someone kept yelling, "you just need a bigger chicken to eat it".  @Sally Sunshine

No, what a horrible nightmare.

Did you know I dislike winter more each year?

Did you know that I dislike summer more each year?

No, but it's probably much hotter there then here.

Your summer is ouer winter!

Is this your growing season then?

Did you know that I am a hige school Biology teacher for the last 26 years and prepare my students for matriculation exams and I give only 3 times homework in 2 years of preparation? And I am AGAINST homework from any kind?

Did you know that I think that homework are wast of lesser time that the students need to have?

If we had more teachers like you, parents would probably have less beef with the public school systems.

Did you know here, that kindergartners, get up to an hour or more of homework after a 8 hour class day?

:hmm My homeschooled kid gets maybe 2 hours max of school work per day, and then she's required to play :p  My 12 year old has maybe 4 hours of school work per day, and he's required to do kid stuff after that.

I did not know that.

Did you know I liked homework?

OK, thank you.

In my opinion ALL The study should be made in the classroom! = mor skilled teacher, mor professional teacher, mor efficiency syste ,
Less beurocracy and MUCH MUCH LSS BS from the education ministry!
What's funny, is in societies that let kids be kids and don't try to force kids to learn faster, they have better success rates in college, high school on testing scores, and almost all of their kids are "caught up by 3rd grade" and we are doing stuff in kindergarten, that I wasn't even doing until 3rd-4th grade when I was a kid.

The new ways they are teaching math is stupid too, they focus on "the way they want them to do it" and less on the answers. I don't care how my kid DOES math as long as they get the *answer* right.

The new way they do things here, doesn't seem like it's working, at all.

did you know that they get money for testing better, so they focus on teaching kids to test/score well and less on applicable schooling that applies to life skills and how to actually USE the knowledge?

Do you know this is one of the reasons I homeschool. What adult won't be able to just google something they want to know? With the way technology is being used now, and is basically at everyone's fingertips at all times (thanks to iphones and other tech.) I think it's almost irresponsible not to make sure kids know how to use things like that. Most of the progressive schools these days are allowing more computer based education and even slowly reducing/removing homework requirements. New studies have shown that extra homework doesn't necessarily make kids smarter, but it does make it so they never get to be kids which has a lot of downfalls for classrooms if kids never have time to play!

I think it's awesome that you can homeschool. I would love to be able to homeschool my daughter. However, I am an only parent, and therefore have to work full-time. My daughter goes to a classical private school and her education is classical in nature. It is a great deal of work, and I don't agree with all of it, but she is getting a great education. I allow her to use the computer at home (not for doing homework), so she is not fully out of the technology loop.

Did you know that I would love to take a nap?

Belive me I see the stupidity EVERYWHERE....
