Did you know your kids are about the cutest I have seen?

Did you know I'm not very good with kids but God found it fit to give me many?
do you know that I have very little patience for most kids, but I do okay with mine. I have to try really hard to be patient with other peoples kids, especially when they cough on me, wipe slime or boogers on me, or do things that I don't allow my kids to do.

did you know that other peoples kids always seem to want to pick up cats and run full speed with them? My kids aren't allowed to do that, and I always feel guilty correcting other people's kids when they do that to my cat, since they do it to their own cats. lol

You should always correct a child about animals wether they are yours or not!!!!! Some animals can hurt them horribly if handled wrong. Did you know that my kids will not touch another persons per unless given permission? When they were little they had the two finger rule but now they know exactly how to handle animals.

I don't allow my kids to mishandle animals, period.

I do however, let my kids rip up their coloring books, and their other books.. and I know other parents would feel that's horrible.... lol (I've tried to stop them, but i've learned to pick my battles.)

I've come to the conclusion, that a lot of people don't have respect for animals, and pets the way that I was raised too. I've been around a lot of working dogs, dogs that would bite people, or strangers... and I've also been bit a few times in various situations and wanted my kids to be smarter.

Did you know that I learned the hard way not to get between a rottweiler, and a doberman when they were deciding who got a bone? lol

Ohhh no!!! Hahahaha, I think that is why I taught my kids too. We always have pitbulls. They are sweet as can be but it's because I train them. Don't want my kids to think all pitties are the same.

my toddler cannot be trusted with the birds, or small animals unsupervised, so he's always restrained around fragile animals. LOL

with supervision, and practice, he's getting better... though he did give his sister a black eye from throwing a car to her. LOL

he's a work in progress.

I find that starting them early, really helps teach them to be good with animals and just have it be second nature.

Did you know that I've never worried about my kids being hurt the way some people do, but did worry more about them hurting an animal??? I figure if they respect animals, they aren't likely to get hurt.

I've had one pitbull, I got her from a rescue, she was not fostered with kids. We had her for 8 months before I had to ask them to find her a child-free home. She bit both fo my son's. She only had 3 legs though, and it made her insecure around running children. Had she lived in a foster home with children, they'd have known that :(

her foster home had nephews/nieces that would come over for short visits and she did okay, so they assumed she was fine with kids.

She was fine 99% of the time, unless startled.

A guest is not the same thing.
