I had an Easter egger just like this one we got her 27 years ago when I was 8 along with the other mix of birds my mom got for this old broody we had in an old milking shed. The broody was from a neighbor, he called her a wild Missouri fighting chicken, and I remember she had a Columbian feather pattern to the mamma hen. My old Easter egger was named Cluck-Cluck. She was my showmanship bird until I was a teenager. She was so well trained, I could pose her on the table and take a step back with my hands behind my back and she would hold her pose until I put my hand on her again, such a good girl.

Dyk I might be forced to restart, I have a turkey die off, now fish and wildlife and at department are involved. Taking a live bird and a carcass to the state ag lab right now

Nice looking color on that Bourbon red hen.
You think that's a hen? lol

I have 3 red ones, and only 1 big blue one that I know for SURE is a tom.

The red ones I thought were boys when they were younger, they were so in your face and excited by everything but they aren't developing like the boy is.
