You know, i am sure you are right. I saw a picture of that once. I also saw it when they turned off part of the falls, in person.

i was just reading an article about a fire they were battling and the fire trucks spray was turning to snow before it could hit the flames

They were just making snow. The fire was keeping them warm. Isn't that how it works?

Yes! I have known that for at least 30 years. I used to raise a lot of birds in my house.
And now some idiot started putting teflon on light bulbs to make them shatter resistant.
Those poor folks lost most of their flocks to a light bulb.

I saw the falls once, as a kid, from the American side, but it was in the Summer.
I never knew they could be turned on & off; never gave it a thought.

They rerouted some of the water because part of it was caving in. I guess the underlaying parts are softer than the rock on top. They planned to repair it i think.

I'm sure it's such a tourist attraction, for both countries, that they couldn't afford not to.

Did you know-----I checked the truth of this after Mike made his post to Banty------ Canadians cannot help but to watch a stone sliding across the ice, much like a Moth is drawn to a flame. Which explains why Curling is the number one spectator sport in Canada.
