As far as chickens, only one female.

I had 24 chickens and 14 guineas. Now i lost 7 chickens.

The particular strain I believe I have is quite mild, and meds don't really do much because they're such slight symptoms. Also, I am breeding for resistance, and meds negate my survival of the worthy. The reason I got it was I was having poor hatch rates and thought that was the cause. Unfortunately, I was a complete ninny and did not realise I was incubating at 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
So, that is why I have a mostly full bottle of a $50 medication on my shelf. IMO anyone with a strain bad enough to warrant medication should maybe cull or close the flock completely.

Mites will freeze, and just go a few acres out if you don't want to get them near your coop. Of course, if you're just looking for a reason to hold a bonfire, then go ahead!
