I went to the brooder to make sure the other two weren't traumatized...What!? What happened, Peanut??
What heat source did you use with your last batch of chicks? I would take your last chick out, and maybe hold her away from there. Maybe you can save her. I don’t know though.I went to the brooder to make sure the other two weren't traumatized...
Banananut was just... dead! We now have a new culprit. Mr. HeatSource.

Yes, do try. And get more chicks for your little remaining baby!!What heat source did you use with your last batch of chicks? I would take your last chick out, and maybe hold her away from there. Maybe you can save her. I don’t know though.
Froze as in got too cold or froze as in stopped moving and overheated?I think I know what the problem is.
Please don't criticize me. I'm sorry for doing this.
I had a heat lamp and not one chick has ever died. This year I thought I'd try out a heated pad thing that the chicks could crawl under. The way Banananut was positioned makes me think that she froze. Which is like 'oh, smart move, using a new technology instead of stuff you knew worked'
got to cold. it's chilly down hereFroze as in got too cold or froze as in stopped moving and overheated?
It is not your fault, Peanut. You need to understand that. No one is judging you. Just remove that heated pad, try using that old heat lamp again, and try to keep your remaining chick alive. Get her some new friends as soon as possible too.I think I know what the problem is.
