DIFFERENCES IN TWO BLUE BREEDS

I talk to my chickens since they were babies. I didn't hold them alot but they got attached to me.

I talked to my first ones. And my bantam chicks. All of which are super friendly. There was no hope with my Reds. They are never happy for anything lol

To tell you the truth I am attached to my little black birds. I thought about giving them away but now they are my buddies and I will keep them plus I was lucky and got A awesome rooster out of it he is so protective and takes care of them he leads them to the good foraging places and comes running if one of them starts yelling. At the end of the day he makes sure they all get in their coop at the end of the day.

My blue rooster is the same way. I let my other 4 hens run with them in the daytime and he does the same for them.

Isn't it funny the other day one of the girls was trying to lay her first egg and one of the other girls went in the coop while she was struggling and she went straight upset. My rooster went running like he was ready to dye if necessary when he found out what was wrong he ran the intruding hen off and scolded her it was pretty interesting to watch.

That is funny. When one of the hens lags behind my blue roo runs to her, then runs around her and back to the flock. I watched the hen to see if she obeyed quickly. She did not lol. They are so amusing sometimes

Mine will nip them if they don't stay close or if they don't go to bed when it's time most of the time they follow each other everywhere. Never more than 15 feet away.

I think that we have some good, caring, nurturing roosters.
