We have a large pond...frozen right now. Have had Toulouse geese for 4 years and this is the first year we have lost any. Over the last 2 days we lost 5 of our 7. We think it is a coyotes...not very common here, but they have been sited recently. So sad, my geese are very friendly and raised from gooslings by myself. So, we put a pump in the pond to keep some water circulating for their get away area...hope they are smart enough to use it and I don't wake up tomorrow to another loss. Any suggestions on trapping/hunting the coyotes? My husband is a hunter, but never went after coyotes.
