In the Brooder
Hello everyone!
So my boyfriend and I got 3 chickens all set up and comfy in our backyard about 6 weeks ago. Two of them are starting to lay very regularly. The other one is still on strike, but thats ok, she can take her time. One of the ones laying regularly is our easter egger. She makes pretty little blue eggs, they are a little asymmetrical, they have some calcium spots on them but those are becoming less and less. But every one that I open up has a discolored chalaza(I hope that's the right term?) It appears to be a much darker variant of the color her eggs are. It also seems to be a bit thicker than a typical chalaza. Any ideas what it could be?
