Where's all her red facial mask?

I'm not sure when it should get redder. She just turned 6 months old Saturday.
She's slowly been getting more orange around the edge of her bill & she only has the little nubbin on top of her nose. She's kind of smooth around her eyes with very light feathers so maybe she will grow in red later. That picture was just a couple of days ago.
This was last night,you can see her face pretty well.

I didn't have any patterns,I just make them out of old bras. I'm bad at sewing but I can manage to get these made & not look horrible. They are moisture proof,leak proof & go on & off really quick with the hooks from the bra & a velcro strip up the back to make it easy on her. I make her one for over night that's a bit deeper & one for when we go out that is not as big.
This is her daytime one:

Every one I make is a little different depending on what I have left from the last diaper I made. One bra can usually get 2 diapers out of it.
This is the latest one I made,it's her overnight one so it's a bit bigger but then we have no blow-outs:


I figured it would be easier for me to make them out of bras because I don't sew very well. But if your mom can sew,I'm sure there are patterns to find online. If you want,I can email you how I make mine.

I've got a Magpie, and love her! She laid all through the winter without extra light, and is calm and pretty, forages great.
Runner laying decent and just a more odd duck compared to the others.
The Welsh Harlequin turned out to be a drake, protective of his yard and very pretty.
