Here's Blue, the OEGB/Phoenix cross. He recently grew back his tail, it was pulled out when he got into a tussle.
He has dark speckles on his legs like a mottled bird.

I was told he could be.Do you think he carries mottling?
He is a nice OEGB mix, but if it’s possible that he carries mottling, then the test wouldn’t work. That’s because his offspring could be mottled, whether or not the d’uccle carries a dominant mottling gene.I was told he could be.
I don't have any gold roosters, & he's the only one who has gold in the bantam coop besides my sister's partridge silkie rooster. He's Birchen based. Those two would work. Unless they’re mottled silkie color crosses.I don't have any gold roosters, & he's the only one who has gold in the bantam coop besides my sister's partridge silkie rooster. They came from a breeder, & she doesn't have mottled silkies. Those two would work. Unless they’re mottled silkie color crosses.![]()
This hen would work perfectly. She has really nice mottling. Though she isn’t a pure Japanese bantam, due to her pink legs. Here's PipSqueak the Blue Exchequer Japanese Bantam.
She's almost done molting.
