I wouldn’t say that he clearly shows the mottling gene. He could have mottling, but it’s not obvious or even easy to tell whether he does or not. Just because he has a lot of white doesn’t mean mottling. It also looks just like messy columbian, which would come from the d’uccle (but with the silver gene).

You just explained where my Lilly's coloring come from. She is from a black cochin bantam rooster over a MF hen. I wasn't sure if the MF produced the columbian pattern, or the cochin!

The black & white are backwards from what Columbian would be.
That looks more like Birchen to me.

Those are black mottled, not silver mottled. They are beautiful.

I'm still sure he was carrying the mottling gene, because usually mottled birds have the white belly. He didn't get passed 4 weeks old, because my grandpa forced me to put him outside because he started crowing. He died due to cold weather.

I'm gonna hatch more for study.

A lot of birds have a white belly, though. I’m not saying he didn’t have a mottling gene, but I’m saying you need to consider more than that one possibility.

She isn’t columbian, but the columbian gene is sort of responsible for her coloration. When columbian is crossed to something like black (which is a very dominant color), the offspring of that cross end up black with leakage. Some look similar to birchen, while others might have a lot more leakage and end up looking like no recognized variety. Black sex link hens are a good example of a columbian (RIR) x black (barred rock, which is black with barring- the BSL hens don’t inherit the barring, but they do get the effects of the black).
Also, your hen is silver (instead of red from the d’uccle) because solid black chickens always have either the gold/red gene(s) or the silver gene(s). Her black cochin father must have had silver genes, which he passed to his daughter.

@MysteryChicken I have a few ideas you could use to test your theory- they aren’t necessary, but they may help you.
You believe the mother of Squeakers, a mille fleur d’uccle, carries the dominant mottling gene, correct? So, her offspring should theoretically show mottling, no matter what. To test whether she actually has a dominant mottling gene, you could breed her to a solid or almost completely solid rooster (who isn’t white) which you know has two gold genes. That would eliminate any possibly of silver in her offspring.
Also, to test whether the OEGB father carries a recessive mottling gene, you could cross him to a solid (black/blue/lavender/etc) mottled hen.

I don't a have a pure gold colored bantam to breed her to. I do have a Blue Gold, Crow-wing Rooster, who is a mix of OEGB X Phoenix.

I have Porcelain D'uccles, so I can cross the OEGB to one of them.
