Disease on comb?

Does anyone know what this could be on my rooster's comb? At first I thought he had been pecked when I first saw this about 5 days ago. For a few days I put antibiotic ointment on it. But now I think it must be something different as there has been no improvement. I am very worried.

In the first four photos, which was 5 days ago, I unfortunately had already applied the ointment before I took the pictures, Which made things look a little better.
The rest of the photos are from tonight. I did not apply ointment today.

No not a Disease
It's a simply pecking injury of scratch marks happen alot in cold weather just apply Veseline on comb and wattle prevent dryness

I tried to figure out if there was something he could have scraped it on as well. I couldn't imagine anything looking at his living area. But anything can be possible... I will look for the things you mentioned. I wondered if it could be fowl pox. But there are no mosquitoes around here right now because it is winter. I haven't noticed any insects around. I also wondered if it is fungal.
No, it's not Fowl Pox.
Give it some time, it will heal up.

If you are still concerned - share some photos of your coop/run - where he and the hen stay during the day and where you keep him at night since he comes inside.

Thank you to everyone who responded. This issue has pretty much cleared up!
