Hmm, didn't know scotch eggs were so popular, googling them and apparently they serve them around the globe, I've never heard of them.
One British style pub here in the US makes them bite sized with quail eggs and serves them with dipping sauce.
Yup, briquettes are nice for slow cooking, and stuff like pizza, but for a steak, you need proper lumps. I'm thinking of trying out webers own coconut charcoal though, my sisters better half swears by it.
