That is totally me too! I wait a bit, but then I pop and look in all the eggs (about 10 hours after the last hatch).

I just did the pop and look in this morning on the set that was to hatch Monday... CLEARS!!!! So many clears!! I have decided that maybe it is do to lack of exercise... They are kinda cooped up to keep the eggs pure..... Anyway, after googling that is all that I could come up with... Dunno

The last chick.... Not hatched is WIERD.... I will have to google, and figure out what happened with that one.
I don't think that is a good study.... Spain is hot so will have lots more nasty stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I think filth is wonderful

There was a great study in Germany that showed that eating cow poop will reduce the risk of you getting allergies, asthma etc. much more than any other poop (horse, pig, and chicken)

it didn't hatch. I have a feeling the humidity was a bit too high. Everyone says they have issues with humidity above 35 to 40% on swedish flwers. Normally no issues in my old incubators but this is all new again. Partially absorbed yolk and quit. It was not in good shape when I broke into it

yep, usually, by the time the waiting gets to me, and a break in to look.... you can tell it wouldn't have made it anyway...

it didn't hatch. I have a feeling the humidity was a bit too high. Everyone says they have issues with humidity above 35 to 40% on swedish flwers. Normally no issues in my old incubators but this is all new again. Partially absorbed yolk and quit. It was not in good shape when I broke into it

Ugh, sorry for that... I've found out the hard way with cabinets too... dry hatch, they hold the humidity from the eggs a lot, I think... I think a lot of mine drowned in shell... especially my calls...

the odd thing is everyone else did great! My anconas are 29 out of 36 at lockdown. The ones that didn't make it were early quitters. Most are in the air cell already! They don't hatch till the 11! The calls are all set to hatch too!

It was only reading 19% humidity when I started with it and no water so I'm thinking since the weather's changed I screwed myself.

Alaskan, read your post. That is odd. Hmmmmm. My eye less chick had foam in its mouth too when I pulled it from the eggs.

Thanks, Alaskan.... am ok, got 5 happy and healthy little Calls... and they are sooooo adorable! Messy, but adorable, lol...

That's what I did with the Marans I did get to hatch out... went fully dry til lockdown... and yeah, I just went to check humidity in the bator, it was down to 15%, and the constant rain for 3 days upped it to 27% all by itself...
