Dixie Chicks

@Alaskan we need some pics of your birdies ...btw what do you do to prevent your eggs from freezing?

I just sent back my interview.... it has pictures, maybe they will post it soon.

As to eggs.... I gather more often, but frozen eggs are washed off well, and then, if I will use them within about 24 hours, put in a coffee cup in the fridge. Otherwise I toss them in the freezer until I use them.

Duh! Toss them in the freezer... I just feed them back to the birds ( frozen eggs )
The chicks are mutts Alaskan... Only know the parentage of three... They are bantam brahma cross EE... And have awesome looking feet! Feathered feet are a pain but I can handle it in the little ones there like pets.

Edit to add I feed the eggs out cooked

  nah, I couldn't keep him as a roo (the pretty EE chick), because I really want to do pure bred breeding......

I would like one pretty gray or blue EE, because I could always keep her with whatever flock I wanted... as long as she laid an egg that I could keep track of, it wouldn't mess up my breeding.

I am loving all the chick pictures.

@hennible
  I can't remember what kind this set of chicks was supposed to be???

Totally get that! I might be getting rid of my wyandotte and Orpingtons for that reason.
