Careful, bama... they're looking for you... :D ;)

I have experience with aquaponics and hydroponics...have a couple basil plants been growing in my aquaponics system for the last two years it's about 2 1/2 years now..am waiting to transplanet it outside this year then going to do something else...in the system

That's gotta be the weirdest one yet bama.

I've made lots of hard cider, ten gallons at a time most years. Haven't had the time this last couple. Have plans to make a press with my 28 ton logsplitter, and a grinder out of a sink food disposal grinder thingy.
The one they used to recommend I hear has been redesigned and grinds to fine I've just heard, need to get back on that site and see what one they are recommending now. Using the logsplitter I might not have to grind them anyway.
I use wild apples, a mixture of all different kinds. Our wild apples most people don't realize it but are descended from cider apple varieties planted hundreds of years ago so they work good. Some are sweet, some sour, many different flavors. If you use store bought sweet eating apples it is recommended to add crabapples for the tannins, apple cider and wine taste better with the tannins.

honestly I incubate my duck eggs dry. 30 to 40% humidity.

Yeah I didn't do anything special hatched 8 of 9...
Really? do you up the humidity before hatching?

I bought an exo-terra hygrometer that I'll just stick into the incubator. Right now I have it sitting in my kitchen next to the incubator and it shows 30-45% depending on if we have the fire place going and the weather outside.

I upped it at hatch a bit
But I just guess at everything based on the air cells....
