ya I'm not so keen having them so close to my eyes...lol was surprisingly graceful and light though...woulda thought it woulda hit my shoulder alot heavier but nope

I have several Bev Davis x Wade Jean BCM's gett8ng close to lay... and still have a trio of Welsummers (with autosexing)...
*scoots over to @RavynFallen ...buddy pal good friend of mine lol :D

how they auto sexxing???????

I really like how the @bamadude cream legbar chick is feathering out though I suspect it';s a rooster with how slow it is feathering unless they typically are slow to feather?? otherwise the creamm legbar has been one of the slowest to feather out......but the feathers are coming in a gorgious kinda deep chocolatey mahogany color

Nice! She has awesome birds, too!! I'd love to have some Ermine Marans, but I just cannot condone that much white in a chicken in my flock, lol... :D

LOL! Quite a few of mine are whites....oooh la la are they gorgeous! There is 1 that may be an ermine but I'm not sure yet. Anyways I am highly impressed with the babies from her eggs :)

The only eggs I want to hatch are from my Welsummer, that's why I got a wellie roo. She was laying good when it was 20 below zero, frozen eggs all the time. Now that the weather warmed up I figured I'd start collecting and she would be laying more and nothing, no eggs from her in two weeks

. Even my non hardy non good egg layer poofy headed polish is still laying, all the others are, stupid chicken.

sooo, Just a breed observation.......... I think my favorite breeds so far have been.. Buff Orpington.........these guys are just the friendest sweetest birds so far...they been outside awhile but they still come over step into my hand and get petted...they like it infact one cries if I ignore it...I named that one Pinky...Pansy and Penny are the buffs(this is based strictly on personality) next fav so far has been wyandottes...... they have such big personalities...course it is also my broody and top hen in the pecking order..but she is a character and she laid all winter long every single day and been a good mother....next I really like the personality on the maran/brahma cross from @bamadude the chick is just a sweetheart and has been one of the few that runs over n jumps into my hand I also like my barred rock I wasnt to keen on them but she has such a charming personality while she isnt friendly she isnt flighty and runs off she just preferes her space but she always follows me around and likes clucking to me under her breath..she also is the MOODIEST in the egg laying department.... she growls at anyone even coming close to the nest box when she lays and she also I suspect doesnt lay if I bust her in the nest box when I open the door to collect eggs....

so far these are the ones who have stood out breed wise
