Dixie Chicks

Hmm, that's the first time I've heard the color Ermine used, never heard of Ermine Marans either, learn something new on BYC everyday. I heard their is a color and then a breed, SandHill has the breed Erminettes.

The only eggs I want to hatch are from my Welsummer, that's why I got a wellie roo. She was laying good when it was 20 below zero, frozen eggs all the time. Now that the weather warmed up I figured I'd start collecting and she would be laying more and nothing, no eggs from her in two weeks

. Even my non hardy non good egg layer poofy headed polish is still laying, all the others are, stupid chicken.
Violet laid for me all winter then she had her two broody spells and had a break... part of why I wanted the different breeds is ...I figured ones who will lay great in summer will slow when another speeds up in winter ect...I bet your super anxious to get those eggs but she probly deserved the break and the eggs should be all the more healthy for her rest and getting back into top condition...did you get an incubator yet?

My greenhouse got to 102 today

...I really need to find a nice economical way to install a diy fan of some sort for ventilation proper............figure I can use a box fan for now but would like to find something that can set up more permanently in the greenhouse

Very rare... if you go to ladycat's page, she has her breed list and *I think* there is a link to an article on them... she sells their eggs rarely, but threw some in some muddy egg BIN's...

ya I know I had to sit on my hands to not try for em lol...really dont want white chickens for a few reasons but one huge big one is the mated pair of eagles that REGULARLY and for years used my general area for their territory.. infact they just a week ago did their mating dive right in the area where we just planted the new shop...
