I've been known to use that very same "creative persuasion" . "Honey, you know what? I really need........... think I'll go to town and pick up some lumber." Pretty soon I'll hear, " I might have some scraps behind...... that will work for you, let me go check". Next thing I know I'll hear, "will this work for you?" and, viola!!! There is my new gate, ramp, etc.!

Ok, I admit if it's something larger I usually have to "help" which normally involves the painting.

As a matter of full disclosure, I just this morning got the back screendoor fixed exactly that way! "Honey, did you take that old storm door off the front to the dump yet?" "No, why?" "I was thinking I would check and see...." Next thing I know the broken window support thingy on the back screendoor is all better.

Its not looking too good for my gangsta bator. The air conditioner in the rental went out. Probably gonna need a $1600 condenser. Im bummed. Ive already scheduled egg shipments for May 11 from 3 different sellers. I wouldnt dare cancel my orders. I have to figure something out. I may have to buy a couple hovabator 1588's and hand turn. IDK?

anyone else have issues with BYC logging you out? Normally I can stay logged in for weeks at a time and now I get kicked out about once an hour.

Yeah, maybe making your own might be a good idea. After hearing how good jem has done with hers I've been looking into it. I figure I'll just buy TSC little giant turner to put in one, save hundreds of $.
I've seen some cool ones made with wine coolers and even old refrigerators. You could have a big cabinet one for a fraction of the price.

I would love to make my own. But something about a cut off lamp cord and electrical tape makes Krista nervous. She wouldnt sleep for 21 days straight if I had light bulbs on in a styrofoam cooler.
I rigged up our battery operated baby swing to run on a cell phone charger. It worked great. She was having none of it. So we kept burning through D cell batteries.
