I wonder how a car heater would work, if you can find a thermostat with a long probe that can just be rigged in between a extension cord, that might work too. Throw the whole thing inside an old fridge, and put some water trays on the bottom to keep the moisture up. The car heater has a fan and everything, so it might be good for that. Granted, the output is a bit high, but it's a pretty large space.

Actually, the marine versions might be better for a humid environment.

Those heaters usually go for something in the 20-80 bucks range. An old fridge you can probably pick up for free. The thermostat might cost you another twenty. Rig up some sort of turner, and voila.

crazy color! Almost doesn't look real!

I have heard of it vehve, so I'm not thinking you nuts lol.

snowed again last night..... this no winter until April is kinda creepy.

Well, this is interesting. Our idiot neighbors were out doing yard work, I once again said "Hi" when I went to the store, the wife just ignored me, as usual (the guy does respond usually though). Now they just dug up a couple of small spruces right next to the property line, they were very passive aggressive about it. I wonder if they'll leave a hole for us to admire, or if something interesting will be planted there. I wouldn't be surprised if they planted nettles or poison ivy all along the property line.

Wow! that is all kinds of fun------ NOT
@BriardChickens best thing I've found is using a large rubbermaid tote and cut a hole in the side large enough for a duck. Most of my ducks will use those boxes. Just put pine shavings in mine. Now I've got a group of 6 who demand to pay their eggs in a corner dug down in the shavings. Oh well. One of then is trying to go broody on me too. 2nd broody duck this year already. The first one gave up when I kept taking eggs away.

Mine nest in dog crates

I use the full crate, but also half of a crate under a shelf

anyone else have issues with BYC logging you out? Normally I can stay logged in for weeks at a time and now I get kicked out about once an hour.

nope, just you... did you change your cookies? So it keeps forgetting you?

I would love to make my own. But something about a cut off lamp cord and electrical tape makes Krista nervous. She wouldnt sleep for 21 days straight if I had light bulbs on in a styrofoam cooler.
I rigged up our battery operated baby swing to run on a cell phone charger. It worked great. She was having none of it. So we kept burning through D cell batteries.

too funny

it kicked me offline on the app the other day. Honestly I thought I got kicked off BYC for some reason.

Wait.... I just got severely confused...

Bama, she isn't ok with a factory made thermostat/heater/fan setup, but is with you modding a dishwasher???
yeah, I'm thinking the same thing!

A friend of mine has a girlfriend who's hysterical about fires. Ever extension cord is always disconnected and everything. My friend was finally getting her to the point where he would not have to notice every morning after ten minutes that the coffee maker is unplugged, when the guy living above them managed to set fire to his apartment with a heater.

She is not confident in my electrical skills.
But my shed is 150 feet away from the house. I could run an extension cord that far. I could buy that kit and rig up the dishwasher
