Dixie Chicks

I mostly wanted to replace my current RC brown rooster...

However, since he also had RC whites, I thought that it would be fun to try to get a trio of those.  But that was kinda a "what the heck" thing.  My heart wasn't set on it, and probably best if it doesn't happen because of space issues.

So, I got 4 RC brown, I think 2 boys and 2 girls

and

2 RC whites, no idea on sex
ok, how do you sex the browns? Can they be feather sexed like single comb whites?

In breeds with the wild-type color pattern, such as these Light Brown Leghorn chicks, the females have darker dorsal stripes on their backs and up onto their heads while the males have lighter stripes that do not reach their heads. Photos courtesy of Don Schrider.

ahhhh, *goes to look at browns she hatched*

go look again...

the female should have CLEAR stripes and an almost triangle on the top of the head, and a super clear eyeliner stripe.

the boy will have fuzzier less clear stripes that fade out sooner.... don't make it to the front of the head.
OK as soon as phone charges enough I'm taking pics but I think they're all girls?!?
