Dixie Chicks

DH mowed the yard and weedeated (there is a ton of weedeating on 14 acres) 95% of the yard. Still have some out back and next week will be spraying fence rows so we don't have to weedeat those again. Sitting here burning some old wood in a Harrell and getting ready to finish feeding. Moved all the chick's around and I have an empty brood again. It will be filled tomorrow with 45+ chicks.

Picked up 2 flower racks from TSC junk pile that are going to be turned into brooders. Figure they'll each make a 4 tier baby brooders for the young ones.
nice find!

I wanna know secret stories too!

Well broody is officially broody. Had her lid off for some cleaning today and she staid put even when I pushed her over for cleaning right under her. :D

18 days left on the incubator eggs.I figure 25 or so for broody eggs

Some of todays work.. More clean up and chainsawing. Waiting for our new wood chipper in the mail.

Our apple tree is blooming like crazy. Needed a serious pruning job this winter and it didn't happen. It has 2 to 3 minimum dead branches (weren't dead last year) still attached and needs a lot of cleaning up. Have to wait till next year now. Going to Spray it this year before the busgs get to it.
