NAF, shame about them being boys. Our Easter chicks are looking like one out of the four might be a dude.

My ducks are on the final countdown, 9 days left until hatch!

And I am also picking up a pair of Cayuga ducks. Really hoping to find some unrelated eggs or girls.

I should take some more pictures of the bunnies tomorrow, they're growing like crazy. Today they have been tunneling a bit, the nest now has a secondary exit. The little furballs are running around like crazy in the pen, they spend most of their time above ground. And they really like fresh grass. Soon they'll be big enough for us to consider catching them and putting at least some of them in the tractor for the day. For now they're still too small, they'd fit through the holes.

Game bird... I think so... you might poke your head in on the quail threads....

I think game bird covers everything but chickens.... because they grow so fast...
But my caveot here is I have only raised chickens turkeys and guineas so far..

Oh and about a bizillian California Quail that discovers the chicken buffet....

I dont think that counts... I had one little Cock that would sit on the fence calling his girls to dinner then Fuss at me because I was dawdling.

I need to get some duck layer food. Or would chicken layer work?

I've got my quail on duck starter but was told they need slightly higher protein then the one I've got.

chicken layer is OK for adult ducks. Typically I strive for a little higher protein and go for a multiflock layer type feed.
