Dixie Chicks

Jem, I want them to grow long, but I'd want them to do that outside. My problem is that the night time lows are in the 40's, so it's still too cold for them outside...
We are right there with you. Last three nights, upper 30s to low 40s F with three more in the 10 day forecast.

Blackhawks begin round three of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the West on Sunday against the Anaheim Ducks.
New York Rangers beat the Washington Capitals in OT of the 7th game to move on against the Tampa Bay Lightening for the East. They will begin the series on Saturday.
Is Finland still hanging in there?

Finland took Russia on penalty shots (OT ended 2-2), Rinne blocked 5 penalty shots. Tonight we're playing the Czech Republic, it's going to be a tough game. They're hosting the tournament, so the pressure is on them, but it won't be an easy match, since a loss will drop you from the rest of the games. If we win tonight, we will probably face Canada on Saturday to decide if we're playing for bronze or gold, unless for some reason they manage to lose against Belarus.

On the other side, Sweden and Russia are playing, I'm guessing Russia will fight it's way to the top 4, and USA will probably beat Switzerland for their spot.

Both the final matches are played on Sunday. I think all games are streamed on youtube in the US, due to geoblocking I'll have to go with the games on TV. My guess is that we will probably see Russia playing either Finland or Canada in the final. I'm slightly biased though. But Canada tends to be a tough cookie for Finland.

My black phoenix and fly ties are here!

jem is that one from bama? Pretty bird.

Vehve, no maters outside for us either. We were 84F highs and 70F at night for the last two weeks. Silkies gallon waterer was ice in the ring this morning 28F last night. Peas are a couple inches tall, going out to plant swiss chard, kale, and spinich right now.

Good morning,
7 days left on my duck eggs

My chicken egg production is way down too. 2-3 eggs a day is not enough. 8 hens, one was just broody and one is broody. So 6 hens should be laying, even the quail have tapered down. They went from 5/5 eggs a day to 2/5. Could be because they are getting duck starter and not game feed maybe?

Hiya!

He was reffering to a problem minihorse927 and I had both been having with ambient humidity affecting the bator humidity too much... even doing total dry hatch, humidity in the bators was still closer to the 'recommended' levels instead of the 'dry hatch' levels... here in TN the humidity was so high you could drink the air, lol...

Completely understand that , there are places that are just high in humidity .My incubator is in a heated room 24/7 so the air is dry , but I hear a lot of people who have issues with humidity , drowning chicks as some have said . Myself the humidity levels are as said "recommended "" levels , but still spike once one egg hatch's , release of what ever humidity is in the egg , I have added a fan and also open the vents once the hatch starts , seems to bring the levels back to a more acceptable level . But every location is different
