Dixie Chicks

Don't buy a new computer Alaskan, especially a brand new HP from Wallyworld. Crap. Save your $ and buy a discounted refurbished high end model, that's what we did before. Two times. I hate this piece of crap, hard to believe but my cheap $50 Samsung centura trac phone works way faster and better than this crappy laptop. Buy a refurbished just as good as new model. I screwed up told the wife a new computer will be better than what we had, new technology and all. Nope. The last two we had were $1,500 models, on sale refurbished for $300 on Sears. Never ever had a problem with them.

Awww, poor Alaskan... :hugs

Are you totally sure on the date of those eggs??
I messed up some hatch days before, so now I at least mark the day I set them on a couple eggs...

I looked it up like three times... Totally sure on the date

Wild and crazy

Don't get it

I makes NO sense....

I have hatched a jillion eggs at this point... And it makes no sense

My computer still wont boot... I keep looking at that little bar at the bottom of the screen... I don't think it has moved for the last 20 minutes

Do I REALLY want to take it to the computer shop and pay who knows how much to revive it?

Uh.... Yes....

Has files I must have

Who as it? Deb? Ron? Who told me to back everything up, as soon as the bars of doom showed up in the middle of the computer screen?!?

Did I listen?

Of course not.

Do I EVER listen to good advice?

Nope... Just look at my life, SUPER CLEARLY NOPE!

I must love misery, since I go out of my ay to find it.

Sure, OK... Chaos sounds better... Now fill my glass!

At least..... Since i have drunk a full glass of hard stuff. My strong temptation to crack eggs has been thwarted...

I shall go to bed :D

My computer (laptop) has been having issues as well

. It's a Toshiba Laptop and was top of the line 6 years or so ago. Now the side is taped where the hinges broke, and it's slower than a snail. Also I will type up a long reply and then BOOM! The screen turns blue & deletes the entire thing. It also keeps switching from primary owner to guest. UGH! So tired of it.

I have somehow managed to pack on more pounds and last week I weighed in at 190lbs. At 5'6" I am considered obese. My son has been studying & on Saturday he is taking his final test to become a personal trainer. He has taken me under his wing to become his 1st guinea pig. So, I HAVE to loose weight. We went walking Tues night & going again tonight. Started the walking program last week. Today I work 10a-5p, so I have to flip flop my work. Work that I usually do at night has to be done this morning before I go to work.

@Alaskan , My guess on the eggs is that you have another week. Since they are still alive and kicking, that's a good sign. I would either buy a new incubator, or at least a new thermometer. Did the duck eggs you hatched out hatch on time? Seems like there is inconsistencies in your temp.

I used to walk with a Physiologist... and the most valuable lesson she taught me is... It takes the same amount of calories to walk a mile as it does to run that same mile. The only difference is you get there faster... Its all about the the calories it takes to move your body mass from point A to point B. Plus the more muscle you gain the more calories it takes to just live and breathe...

Get to feeling better and fitter before jumping into the Big Cardio stuff.

I need to do this because I am close to 400 lbs myself at 5'8... I have to start out just walking with either a shopping cart or my walker to support some of the weight Or I will destroy my knees. Not to mention the fact that I am so unfit now I can barely walk a hundred feet unassisted either with a cane or a walker of some sort.

and there is no "just do this's or That's" for loosing weight.... I have done it before twice now... it takes adjusting what you eat to less than what you burn.... How its done is up to lifestyle and interests.

One thing that is very exciting about exercising is it decreases your apetite...
