So... I went out to shoot off the hand cannon... You know, to make sure the bear, if out there, would run off

And my right hand is all kinds of arthritic today, so I was stressing about pulling the hammer back.. Since that can really hurt....

And then I was calculating exactly where to aim the canon.... And then I was stressing that pulling the trigger would hurt too....

And I didn't remember the hand cannon having such a smooth trigger... Verses one that pulls halfway, then a bit more pressure to pull the rest of the way... And the dang gun turns out has a much smoother easier to pull trigger than I remembered... And it IS a hand cannon....

I just give glory to God I didn't break off my left thumb...which is all that kept racing through my mind.... I would die of embarrasement.. If I had been so stupid as to break my thumb!!!

Anyway... It isn't broke... But it is black, a bit cut, swollen...


I have it in a cup of cold water now.... Doesn't look broken though...

Spouse might have a good laugh out of that one... but yeah, I'd rather have silly things happen to me while DH is gone

Like tripping up our deck. Didn't fall of the deck while walking off, no: while getting on it. Must admit, the scar on my shin took over a year to go away...
