Agree. All I will add is if they are heritage RIR they could take a bit longer to lay, and if they are hatchery/feed store RIR they may lay a bit sooner. This is what *usually* happens. Hope they start soon for you! :)

After talking to you, when I looked on ebay she disn't have anything for sale... And then when I was all drooly and crazy and bidding on eggs, I forgot to look for her name... I just alwyas assume that ebay Marans eggs are all lies.

lol... yep, that's her... Jean Blancato, Macopin Farm... got several Marans outta her eggs and my lf Araucanas came from her stock... I actually don't think she had them listed on ebay for a while, she sells direct by email from her website as well...
Her I trust as she is very honest and open... if you look at her descriptions on the ebay listings (especially the Araucanas) she does give full disclosure on 'imperfections', etc... :)
 
Those are the days were I am glad I work long shifts. Long days mean I am out of the house (and therefore away from the incubator) for 12hours a day. Only the dog would notice any changes and he doesn't call with updates!

So, I have to rant a little. The other day I posted some call duck drakes on Craigslist for $5 each. There is 5 of them. I get a call about them yesterday. He wants then all, very interested. When I told him where I was located, he says I am too far away. Now mind you I put the name of the town I live in on the ad. He the proceeds to ask me if I ever come towards Cincinnati, well yes I do. He then explains he can't come all the way to my town to get them as they would cost him $20 each that way and he can't spend that for varmint food. I asked him why he said that and he replied, oh I put them out on the pond and they get eaten. I even lock then up some nights and they still get eaten. It's expensive to keep buying ducks but I enjoy watching them on the pond. :/ idiot. If you want ducks and turn them loose during the day, that's great. All I ask is you provide them a predator proof home at night. I understand even then sometimes things happen but why I would I sell these ducks to their imminent death?
