Green house place here uses hot air wood furnaces, smaller homemade versions kinda like what they sell at TSC.
Hmm, got me thinking, I have that outside wood boiler, pretty close to the garden, access to cheap wood, a car radiator and fan would work, hmm, maybe I need to build a greenhouse?

jem, I never heard of anyone growing melons here. I just picked the quickest growing season ones and they did great. I found a yellow meat watermelon that is short season, going to try them next yr. Never ate a yellow watermelon.

I can't get my pics to upload and can't figure out why. Never had a problem.I spent a few hours on it and quit. Finally got them picked up with google, but the pics are blurry and that's another I don't know why. I'll post the pics in the next day or two.

ok question for anyone who has gone to a swap or chicken show ect........... How are swaps different from chicken shows? and are swaps anything like the auctions?

swaps are casual and you bring your unwanted chickens there or chicks and sell them. The ones I went to here were we all brought food. And you get to meet members. It's fun, just the biosecurity swuks.
