All of mine usually are fairly fast once they start, especially the Ameraucanas... but think my cabinet bator's temp was a bit too low... the broody had 5/8 pipped this afternoon...

I used to clip both wings so they could fly a little incase they fell of the perch.... but then I was clipping hook billed birds like Parakeets and conures... I actually would do the same for chickens... Yep they still can fly but they may need to be able to to escape a predator. and cliping the flights takes away their power... for very high flight.

fiskers are best ... last four or five flight feathers not so deep as to cut into the blood vein on the feather. I used to clip both wings so they could fly a little incase they fell of the perch.... but then I was clipping hook billed birds like Parakeets and conures... I actually would do the same for chickens... Yep they still can fly but they may need to be able to to escape a predator. and cliping the flights takes away their power... for very high flight.

Yep, I like Fiskers (or is it Fiskars?)... anyways, yeah I know the cautions, just want my calls to not clear the new fence and land in neighbors yard... I do not want my ducks shot...
