trust me, I bred show silkies for 2 or 3 years before I went with other breeds. It takes a while to learn! Even now I'm not 100% sure on the one.No idea how you guys are telling those Silky roosters apart!

hopefully my atandoffish is a girl then! Lol. My roo definitely acts like a roo some days. The pulled acts almost like a roo. She's more defensive. She's not looking to pick a fight but when I stick my hand right in front of her she puffs up and arches her neck and threatens to peck.Beer, that's the other thing I noticed with mine... the roos tend to be more up under your feet early on while the girls are more standoffish... til they get to POL or laying... then the pullets love to run up and be petted...![]()

I haven't touched it, but I don't see the fine little hairs on it like the nettles do.
