Blech... you both know where yours is? Crap, we can't find our septic cap...

We can't either. Have an idea where it is but still haven't found it. Been here going on 3 years. Our yard is one big flood pond right now. DH thought he would mow a bit in the less wet spots & got the zero turn stuck. We had to attach a tow rope & play tug of war to pull him out

. I couldn't help but to say "I TOLD YOU SO!!!" It's hard to walk without getting stuck out there. Lots of frogs at night. So loud it's deafening.

RavynFallen, we are having neighbor issues too. There is 9 acres of untouched overgrown land next to us. This year I was going to buy it....I took off vacation one week that DH & I had decided we were going to get with the realtor. On Monday of that week I called & left a message & emailed the realtor. Tuesday she emailed us back saying it was sold.

day late, dollar short. Well now new neighbor guy is over there cutting down everything & we can now see our other neighbor. Soon we will hear the wonderful sounds of construction as he wants to have a huge house built. UGH. Guess there is a good side to all the rain here. He hasn't been able to get in there with the bobcat this past week.

@minihorse927 , Thanks for the video. Now I want to get quail to squeeze! LOL!

I want you all to celebrate with me today....

My son is training to be a personal trainer. He has been teaching me about eating, supplements, exercise, etc. Last week I weighed in at 198.6 lbs. I'm 5'6". So, yes, I'm fluffy. Anywho, I have been walking daily & modified my eating habits. This morning I weighed in at 190.4. YEAH!!!!

Well, I gotta feed & water chickens, pack my lunch, get ready & go to work. You all have a wonderful day

WRT septic caps.... Its reallllly a good idea to find them.... If there is an issue the septic company will charge about ninety bucks an hour to find them.... starteing with one and a half hours.

Mine needs to be pumped out periodically.... because of a dying leach field.... Getting a new leach field done is as expensive as digging for a new septic.

I got lucky the first time I needed to have it pumped. The fellow had started with his rod across the back of the house... and I went over by the tree with a shovel and scraped down about six inches right ON top of the cap.

My Caps are metal domed affairs about eighteen inches in diameter.... they are very thin so it would be possible for an adult to stand there and it could crush dropping them into the tank. After the tank was pumped and re capped and re buried. I layed a sheet of plywood over the top of each Cap to let me know where they were and to keep me from worrying about falling in if I were to walk over them.

for what its worth as well the septic guy hopped in to the full tank and showed me how he could walk on top of the "mat" that forms on top of the effluent underneath. And it did not stink.... it only smelled like very rich dirt.

Pumping cost me about 125. and If i am careful not to put toilet paper in I wont have to have it pumped more than once every four years.

Thats One person with a tank big enough for a family of three.

Eight pounds is awesome.... Just remember to take your measurements as well to fortify your progress. Because there are times that even if you only loose a little you will go down in inches...

Muscle weighs more than fat too so as you get more fit there may be times when you will stay the same weight wise.... Remember the more muscle you have the more calories you burn by just living....

Oh, and compost is over ther too...

Your septic cap is a large flat plastic circle thing? Huh!

My septic cap is just a four inch pipe sticking out if the ground with a cap on it... White ones and black ones (for tank and leach field)

I know where the tank is on ours but alas the cap is covered. At least by knowing where the tank is I have a pretty small area to search for the cap. In the 9 years I've lived there, I haven't had it pumped. Leach line seems to be in working order still.

have you tried using a rod to shove into the ground and hit the metal cap?

Solid clay... rod won't go down for squat... in fact, gotta use a hand auger for our fence posts cuz post hole diggers DO NOT work, lol...

3 1/2 years and counting... hope ours keeps going fine...

:yiipchick on the new regimen with son!!!
Oh, and apparently our neighbors know where the property line in the back half is... they had a tractor clearing an area the other day and stopped right along where we all know the line is... :/
