Dixie Chicks

I think that's about 25% chance of greens/olives, 75% on variations of browns/tans... minihorse can give more solid numbers though...

not a very good chance for getting more green/blue egg layers. Scratch that plan I guess...

If I incubated green eggs, so EExOrpington, would coloured eggs would I get?:/

A green egg from an EE will most likely have one (not two) copies of the Blue Egg Gene. So, any chicks from that EE have a 50% chance of getting that Blue Egg Gene.

The Blue Egg Gene is dominant, any chick that gets it will express it (but of course, no way to know if a rooster got it, except by breeding it)

I just want to add a little bit of colour to the egg basket... "shopping" would be the term to use. Definitely don't want something that lays an a light brown egg as I'd want to be able to distinguish to the chantecler eggs if I don't have breeding pans next year.

this is 100% correct. Where did the EE orginally.come.from? I know I've been breeding mine to have 2 copies of.the blue egg gene but it isn't easy.
