Good afternoon amberjem & everyone. That recipe sounds good vehve. We are having good old fashioned cheeseburgers tonight.

DH will be super happy. Spent the afternoon after work yesterday splitting firewood with a borrowed log splitter. Those things are AWESOME! I totally want my own log splitter. We had to return it yesterday & we got a lot done. We are in much better shape with firewood this year than we were last year at this time. Last year we had to pay thru the nose for firewood. We gathered all we could on the sides of road. Problem is there are not many jobs around here, so everyone else gathers firewood to sell.

Calling for snow & freezing rain tonight. I am not excited.

That happens a lot at my work too. I got an email last week regarding my schedule changes as per my conversation with my manager. Funny thing was that the hours that changed, I had already worked 1/2 the week before they changed it, and there was no conversation with my manager. So the time system marked me as tardy. I forwarded the email along with an "I am not happy" email to my HR. Never heard anything back, but I have copies of everything in case they think they will write me up for tardiness.

Just finished the first season of The 100 on Netflix. I thought it was good. Found out the second season is on huluplus, but its missing the first four episodes so I'll have to wait and hope Netflix gets it. Have you watched Jericho? Or FireFly? I didn't watch them when they came out, just watched them in the last yr. I watched Revolution on NBC, I see Netflix has it now. Seems like I like all the shows that end up getting canceled Lol!

I watched 100 few weeks ago looks good, yep firefly fan for years heard they coming out with more ..I seen some of jericho ...I havent seen revolution.. last series I watched was last man standing but I just love tim allen

I am with you on the whole pickling thing @vehve .. I dont like the taste of vinegar to be so over powering that said....there are soooooooo many ways to pickle I am no expert by any means .. I want to do sour kruat we cant get anything decent here that isnt canned poop from the store.. I was going to try my hand at it come summer will do some cabbage in the garden and try making it into kraut but I am just getting into the whole canning thing on my own and not yanno supervised or just assisting... the jam and applesauce and applepie filling I canned turned out great

I reverse the vinegar taste with sugar. Some jalapenos and garlic

they haven't even been in the brine for 24 hrs and I want one or two or three.. or
