You haven't even heard how far I am driving for them

I just don't want to buy another bag of starter for 2 weeks which I know 5 chicks aren't going to finish. I'd rather not move with a bunch of open food bags..
try spreading it out with a mix might let you keep small amount n spread it out until then

Thanks Amberjem, I'll try and mix it for a few days, we had a sitter last week, and I thought there was plenty of food left before we took off.

At this point I am just very excited to be moving next spring. We go back into negotiations next week (house/water inspections still have to be done) as we know the septic system inspection failed. Depending on the fix: anywhere from 4000-18000 dollars. The $4000 fix may only be temporary.

Then the whole "moving the ducks here for 5 months just to move them back with us".

Needless to say, big things to stress about. We don't want to press the seller into a lower selling point unless she offers. We already negotiated well on some other parts and she is going into heart surgery soon so unable to do much work if any at all.

moving sucks !!

I don't mind moving, unless it's in -20C or colder which is what we have done the last 2 times. We wanted to move in November 1st but the seller wanted spring due to her heart surgery. Now to spent another cold one here.. but then we are moving to the west coast so it'll be an exciting move!!! Can't wait for it!!

I got rid of a sick hen three weeks ago. Yesterday one of my brownleghorns was sick. Got rid of her this morning. Don't know if it's meraks or not, they all had the vaccine? SandHill ones didn't. They all look healthy, time will tell. I don't have any other option but to let it run it's course, whatever is going on... Hopefully that's the only two...
