Morning! Super tired. Too much to do, too little time. Sure you all can relate

. It's been cool out, rainy off and on, but cloudy and beautiful! Unlike most people, I LOVE cloudy!

Went walking with cousin yesterday. We are up to walking 2 days a week. 3-4 miles each time. Yesterday we went to a different park and got lost. LOL! I had my pedometer on though and had 14,885 steps for the day. Haven't been weighing myself, but my clothes are not feeling any looser, so guessing I haven't lost much if any. Have to get ready for work. You all have a great day!

Just remember that muscle weighs more than fat.... So, your shape might change, but there might not be any weight loss at first... Maybe even weight gain.

Awesome that you are walking!!! It us SUPER good for you, helps the brain too.

MAN, I miss checking in here often. Where else can you check in....discover someone else is walking and being more active...and have advice from Alaska, no less, about the relationship between blubber and muscle...:D and top it all off with poop trays and roosts. Gotta love it.

Tmobile-Esperian hacked me. (but Home Depot had hacked me first.)

I joined a local rec ceter and have indulged in "senior fitness" (sort of a misnomer).

I miss you guys....I am not on the computer much....I am mad at the internet...

Shoot it... Or smash it with a hammer, whichever floats your boat.

:D

Poop trays and roosts
Dang, no poop trays, just let them poop, deep litter is the best, don't be afraid to do it with a wood floor, dad always did and his coop, no chickens now, is still good, many yrs later, probably 20 yrs.24x24, uses it for storage of junk now.... He's talked about getting chickens again. Always had RIR crosses, I'm going to turn him on to these red sussex when I hatch some out Lol! He's starting to think maybe he should start 'prepping' I'm going to talk him into he needs some....

Put the hammer down, put the hammer down, hmmm, not sure if that is calm down,...or SMASH IT!
Woohoo!, wish I could smash our computer, even the kids say they hate it.......

I've done deep litter with both wood and dirt floor, I still love poop trays... But my deep litter never worked so great in the coop, in the pen it did just never got the balance in the coop (always got stinky)... And with the ducks in the mix I can't keep things dry enough for chickens with out changing the bedding.

Side note
The deep litter did well work in the winter though, but that was pre duck and with four ducks not 13...

Anyone doing deep litter with a multi species flock?

I've been hacked at my bank twice, grocery store, work twice, insurance office, credit card company, haven't lost anymoney$ Guess when you don't have any they can't take it away from you Lol!
Still not happy about it though, nor am I happy about the Obama administration hacking into our personal stuff......

Ducks are your down fall, superior layers and excellent ratio of meat to $$$$.....But they are 'pigs'....
