@minihorse927
how many ducks do you have left?
I have come up with a feed mix of corn, peas, wheat and oats and tiny bit of alfalfa. Thanks to the peas that I got from the plant my feed price was reasonable.. I bought 200+kg for $30....
around 100. All but 4 are ancona. I'm not even counting in 6 snowy calls and the mandarin pair.

Please don't take this wrong, but it takes someone like you to make me appreciate my feed bill! Here I am racking my brain over 400lbs a week...LOL  God love ya!

I'd love 90 ducks, wifey, not so much! We have 19, pekins(some jumbo some crested), runners and 2 muscovies...
oh no, I remember the 400lb a week days. That was this spring! I'm hoping to be well under 400lb a week when I'm done butchering and selling. My ankle has put a huge halt to everything here. Bless Joshs heart, he's feeding the birds

You still have the one pair of Snowy's?

So glad you have help...

And barely any eggs at all...

Same here... it will be an expensive winter, but hopefully all worth it come spring.

To us, it's already worth it... but yeah, I can't wait til Spring too... and can't wait to see you all settled in your new digs! :)

yes, then hen came up limping for some odd reason and I took her off the sale list.

Maybe she just felt sympathy pains for ya... ;)

So this is getting worse and worse on the ankle. Now I have to go in for an MRI today. They are wanting to see how much muscle damage is done. They kept saying surgery which freaks me the hell out!
I always heard a dislocation pulling tendons, muscles, tearing cartilage is way worse than a broken bone. I have done or actually my knee has done bad things,a few times, not in yrs, but I still have nightmares. No insurance, no pain meds. no doctors back then...
Wishing the best for you, eventually it will be a distant memory, sucks being a 'invalid'.

I was going to laugh, you'all are feeding your chickens more $$ than I feed my five kids Lol!
I'm getting a lot of GRRR from the wife for feeding ours 50lbs a week, had to cull all non-breedables hoping to cut it $ down, but they are getting bigger...
We are still getting around five eggs a day from the others, plan on making soup with most of them this winter, some will have to die of 'old age' at two yrs this winter, have to get rid of the kids favorites sometime. Only keeping the sussex and giants....hopefully...
Plan on hatching fifty of each or more come spring....now you'all are scaring me with your feed bills....
