@BriardChickens, I have to go to the orthopedic specialist to see if that's the best treatment. I don't want it to be. I'm still waiting on then to call me and make an appointment

We have thrift stores here... And my favorite, a charity clothing place run by the papists. They charge 50 cents for most clothing items.

However, it is TOUGH finding a pair of boy pants that still look good.

I hope you don't have to go through all that...

Btw, you are contagious, lol... I slipped in the mud catching ducks the other day... dunno what I did to my foot, but it hurts like a B now...

Only one thriftstore here and it's just kinda yucky... I can afford new stuff Im just cheap... -cough- I mean frugal... I get oodles of hand me downs for the kids from friends anyway, oodles!

Crap Rayvn, better rest that foot.

BC I always end up with holes on the right leg of my jeans, always.

lol, Jim said the same thing... right foot though, not left ankle...

BC, sorry about your turkey eggs... Lady Grey broke one of hers too... she didn't lay for 2 days and I picked her up and the egg fell right out at my feet... :/ guess she tried to hold it in too long, lol...

I'm sorry to hear about all the ankle, foot, and leg injuries. BE CAREFUL!

henni, hand me downs from friends can be very good too. I had a friend that had 3 daughters that were each a year older than my girls, and their grandparents spent serious money on their clothes. I would pay her $35.00 a garbage bag full of their hand me downs. She would warn me a couple months before she would go through their clothes, so I had time to save the money. I usually got 3 - 5 bags of clothes from her, ONCE A YEAR. There were NO play clothes in the bags. Everything was either new, or had only been worn a few times, most of it had designer labels. There would be nice coats, church dresses, nice outfits for going to birthday parties, pageant dresses, designer jeans, blouses, shirts, fancy socks, leggings, etc. For $175.00 or less, I outfitted my 3 girls, for a year, with everything but play clothes.

Many of our thrift stores here don't accept donations. They have designated days for people to bring in clean, gently worn or new, clothing, and they pay for it. For example, if you have a pair of nice boy's jeans they will pay $1.50 - $3.00, then in their store they sell them for $3.75 - $8.00. They won't accept clothes that are dirty, or in poor condition, so their stores are not filled with "junky" stuff.

That is a nice deal. We get a crazy amount of toys handed down to us too, its pretty sweet.

My old dog had a stoke or stroke like event, poor girl. Went from from running around like a pup to walking sideways with her head cocked to the side in matter of hours. Seems stable at the moment.
