Dixie Chicks

So I just went and picked up 9 Cornish cross chickens that are huge. Guys had them since August and he didn't have the time to process them so I brought them home for $30. I couldn't raise the 9 of them and buy them as chick's for $30!

Yummy!!! To the baby bunnies, and the cornish cross.

A few more days... And there will be a giant duck slaughter at my house!!! :ya

I need to figure out what day that should be.... Need to ask spouse if spouse wanted to brine, or, whatever.

I want two to eat fresh for Christmas dinner... The rest will be pieced out for pastrami and etc.

i can't wait!!!

I am reading between twelve and fourteen pounds?

There are a bunch of mscovies for sale here Trios for sixty one person is getting rid of his whole flock. I am thinking Seven females and one male.

The ONLY ducks I have ever had were Muscovies. I dont know how I got them but We got about five little ones. We just kept them loose in the back yard and fed them. Till they got enough feathers to swim. Mom got tired of skiing on the back porch so I took them down to the ranch where I boarded my horse. We would walk them down to the river bed for water sports and at dinner time they would fly back or march in masse to have dinner.

I don't know what happened to them. but i remember their silly way of walking and wagging their tails when they stopped to think or their deadly aim on beetles and flies.

I definately want them again.
