Just one heart beat, I'm big already but that's normal for me... ultrasound next month hoping to find out the sex then.
I can't imagine eating wild mallard, they're just so small, there's not a ton of meat on my ducks and they are a lot bigger. You could pick off wild ones in my yard, a small group comes here yearly.
You know what's cool about the muscovy, I don't clip them so the younger ones fly up onto my deck and come to the door, very friendly. I love watching them fly.

Luckily, we are at the turning point for darkness...

However, February tends to be the peak of depression for the entire town up here.... Not sure why light is getting better by then... Must be a combination of cabin fever and no vitamin D.
