One worse, we have Hawks. Lots of them. Yesterday DH shot off a few shots in the air just to.scare them. But they are protected too.

The kitten slept inside last night because it was 4F. She and the dog like to chase each other until the dog flops over with exhaustion. Lol!

Good day for housework and a big pot of chili. Waterers freeze within an hour of me changing them. Just been swapping them out 3-4 times a day.

Minihorse, King Tut (the older crested cream legbar rooster) absolutely refuses to go back to the coop. He stays in a greenhouse that is falling apart. All by himself. I have 2 other coop areas that have no chickens in it, but he won't have any part of those.

-34C yesterday morning after day break. Co-workers reported -37C. I am sure our night time lows were somewhere around -38/-39C over night. Truck was very slow to start and my power steering was stiff.
Today, a balmy -19C and snowing. Almost shorts and t-shirt kind of weather.
Can't wait to be back with DH on the west coast in 3 weeks. That's right, looks like our moving date got moved up by 3 weeks

I released the owl Saturday morning. I drove over 60km, so ~40km as the crow flies. He'll probably be back, but hopefully not for another 3 weeks. ROFL

That's the release video and yes he left me a "f-you" poop... He was mad, guess it didn't help that the ducks were teasing him all night by just walking right in front of the kennel.

Saturday I pick up the livestock trailer, 14ft long. I'll have to see how it divides, it'll be tight, but i think it'll be ok. 3 Kennels of chickens 1 with turkeys and 4 sheep in the front and the ducks in the back. I think. Or ducks in the front?
