The last of my Jubilee Eng Orps and the last of my Mottled/Spangled Eng Orps are promised out.
Just the young Adult Isabels English Orpingtons and Young Adult Red-Crele-Cuckoos are staying the rest goes. I will be down to 3 roos and 9 girls. NOW that is downsizing. Son will be down to 3 roos and 9 girlsalso. Giving away coops and telling people they have to come tome when the rest goes come Sat TSC swap for my giveaway and sale. I am keeping the one large and plans to build two mediums, meanwhile the two roos and their women Will use the chicken houses up in the pole building.

Hopefully my Asthma will get better and the medical costs will go down. You know,... Paying out almost $25,000. For just under 24 hours suck! The facts are we do have insurance on me. The problem is the insurance co claim's item by item what they claim is a national average and that is what they allow and then they pay their percentage. Which is only around 1/4 to 1/5 the bill for each doctor, clinic and really they ran me through the ringer. I dont remember that many docs! So, If a Doc stuck their head through the door and said hi, I am Doctor so and so and I hear you have a breathing problem that entitles them to charge me several thousand dollars just for that. There ought to be a law! Also I will Admit I had to have my chest checked also because my lungs dont work well it causes my heart not to work well. Well, if you can not breath the heart does not work well and if the heart does not pump correctly the lungs will not work correctly. So yes, my chickens acerbate my asthma and yes I must lessen my contact. They said they were not going to tell Me to go home and get rid of all my chickens. But they were telling me to lessen my contact and know My stressors. I told them
My stressors are what helps me relax from my stressors. If it were not for my (Physical)stressors relaxing me I would really be (mentally)stressed! Catch 22.

Oh mannn.... sooo sorry. You might ask @Sally Sunshine about her coping skills. She has asthma big time. Last i spoke to her about it was finding a respirator to use when doing those gross jobs like cleaning the coop. you can get them at Home Depot or lowes and they are mead by 3m. People who work with plaster come to mind so look in the paint department. The cartridges take particles out of the air sized in the microns they do have to be changed but once you get the mask its a simple matter of buying refills.

Another thing that I saw someone on the DIY thread was create an exhaust system in the coop for those times when he has to be in there. Its simply a big fan set in the eves and only switched on when a person goes in. Fresh air is pulled up across the dust and its exhausted out the vent. He shows video on how well it works. By scooping a pitch fork of litter and tossing it down.... the dust swarms up and is vented BEFORE he could take another scoop.
