We finished filling our bator with blue isbar x isabelle leghorns on our ayam cemani hatch. Everything that hatched is black with black eyes

Did you at least count the different colored empty shells???

Sounds like it might be a while before you can tell them apart, lol...

Heel low:

fourth cart load of turkey bedding composted - got dawgs wanting GOOD peas, eh​

Veg Garden, begun tilling and adding composted bedding.

Onions over wintered, true rarity fur here!

Seeded up two flats of peat pots...cukes, squashes, melons, etc.

Got some rain last night.

Last night BEFORE the rains - out tilling till DARK!

Kickin' her up into high gear...getting on the VEGGING!!!

This morn... total tilled and soaked in BEAUTY!!​

Now for some pea seed planting...then taters and yeh...on it.

Gettin' on the DIRT!

I just read about seed balls.... anyone use them?

Deb, interesting idea, but for me that article lacked the explanation of what's so great about these seed balls. Isn't there a bit too little soil for the plants to grow from in them, and then you'll end up with the plants having difficulty penetrating the existing, hardened soil?
