I have fed them medicated chick starter, and they all free range everyday. I buy feed from a very clean feed store and don't have issues with the any of the other 100/chickens......? I hand fed her today. Had to hold her head up, but she eats on her own.

I am going to try to bring her back to health primarily for the experience. Not that I can't stand to lose a chicken....just learning in case I can help someone else in the future.

It takes a good 3-4 minutes just to unwrap her neck. Very weird condition. I'll keep you all posted.

Here are pics of her. I added Selenium to her diet today. She is eating well. Scrambled eggs, chick starter, vitamins & electrolytes mix, vitamin E and now selenium. She eats as I hold her head up.

I forgot you said she was a speckled sussex... Nice birds, and pretty too.

What can I say... I like spots.

She was eating well and seemed strong, until today. Not a good day for her at all. Hoping she gets better soon, but not holding my breath.
